Benjamin Wakley is a final year student of Tenor Trombone at Trinity Laban in London, United Kingdom. He performs regularly across London, but most notably on the west end as part of the London Musical Theatre Orchestra.
Benjamin has a great interest in the production and stage management of orchestral music and can be found stage managing concerts at his university and working behind the scenes with major London Orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra.
What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
Every Wednesday morning I lead a sing-a-long group for over 60s in my local area.
What are you hoping to learn this summer at the NRO?
This summer, I would love to enhance and develop the current skills I have gained from all my previous work experience. I also hope to gain a vast array of new skills and am curious to see how an American orchestra functions differently to one in the UK.
