Anne Mills

Anne was raised in the northeast and graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Math and Physics. She was encouraged to go west by her parents and obtained her MA in Education from Stanford University. After teaching for four years, she joined IBM and retired after 26 years, having served in a variety of executive financial and planning positions. She then became Ottawa University’s Vice-President for Business Management and CFO for 11 years. She also served as a mutual fund trustee for 28 years and board chair for ten years.

Currently, Anne is the only resident Director on the Wind Crest Board, a non-profit corporation responsible for the Wind Crest community in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, where she and her husband, Bill, live.

She has a long association with higher education, having served as an Ottawa University trustee for 45 years and has been honored as an Honorary Alumna. She also served on the Brown University Corporation as a Trustee, having previously been Alumni Association President and continues as a Trustee Emerita. Anne has been honored with the University’s Brown Bear Award, its highest alumni award.

Various other volunteer activities include serving as the nationally elected financial officer for the American Baptist Churches and as the founding Chair of its Foundation, where she is now on its Investment Committee. Anne has volunteered at the Denver Art Museum and served as the Treasurer of its Volunteer Executive Committee. She continues to be on the Board of the Hyatt Residence Club in Breckenridge.
