Marion Ravot“Welcome To The New World”
The opening night concert of each National Repertory Orchestra season is a cause for celebration.  Saturday night is no exception. And the featured work on tonight’s program, Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 (From the New World), is often considered a celebration of America and its music.

Before you hear Dvořák’s piece, the evening will begin with “Olympic Fanfare and Theme” by John Williams, “Acedemic Festival Overture, opus 80” by Johannes Brahms, and “Harp Concerto in E-flat Major, opus 74” by Reinhold Glière.

Marion Ravot, harp, will perform the solo during Saturday’s concert.  Originally from Paris, France, Marion began playing the harp at age 11. She is currently working towards her master’s degree at the Juilliard School studying with Miss Nancy Allen. Marion loves traveling, discovering new cultures, hiking, reading and movies.  Read More About Marion
