What inspired you to become a musician?
Music has always been a profound part of my experiences before I created it. It was something necessary in my life that was always there, so it only made sense to become someone who can share this art with others.

Who are your all-time favorite composers and/or pieces? Why?
My current favorites are Mahler, Strauss, Wagner, Schumann, Schubert, Mozart, Bach, Bruckner, Tchaikovsky, Ligeti, Ravel, Shostakovich… I could go on and on. Some composers take longer to understand than others, but each one has so much to offer.

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I love to travel around the world. Some past highlights include Italy, Switzerland, Nepal, and Canada. Most of my travel is solo and also music-related!

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
I love doing workout classes, photography, social media, and traveling around the world!

Why did you choose the NRO?
After participating in NRO as a fellow in 2023, it was clear how crucial this ensemble was in building my orchestral skills and bringing me refreshing musical experiences. Playing in this orchestra emulates the lifestyle of holding a professional position, so this is a unique opportunity to focus on primarily performance which has been really special for me. So many unforgettable memories were created with amazing musicians and friends last summer, so I’m looking forward to experiencing even more this upcoming summer back in NRO!
