Canadian trumpet player Patrick Smithers is a recent graduate of the Juilliard School. He completed his undergraduate at the Glenn Gould School in Toronto, Canada. Patrick’s principal teachers have included Andrew McCandless, Christopher Martin and Raymond Mase. He previously attended the NRO in 2022 and is excited to enjoy another summer full of music in beautiful Breckenridge. Patrick is also the newly appointed second trumpet of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, a position he will assume in the fall.
What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
My two front teeth are fake! Luckily it doesn’t affect trumpet playing.
