Masayoshi Arakawa is a master’s violin student studying under Dr. Shannon Thomas at Florida State University. He was introduced to the violin at the age of 9 and was concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra during high school. He earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan studying under Aaron Berofsky and Kathryn Votapek. Previous teachers include Stephen Rose, Jeanne Preucil Rose, Alexandra Preucil, and Tracey Burk.

What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I have a twin brother who plays cello.
