Marin Osawa

Marin Osawa is a violinist at the University of Michigan as a student of David Halen and a substitute violinist for the St. Louis Symphony. During the summers, she has participated as a fellow in Madeline Island Chamber Music, Texas Music Festival, Colorado College Summer Music Festival, the Music Academy of the West, and the Detroit Summer Institute.

What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I am a third culture kid, meaning I was born in Japan and raised by Japanese parents, but moved and grew up in many parts of the world throughout my life.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Cooking, baking, and walking.
