Marco Santistevan

Southern Methodist University, Bachelor of Music: String Performance and Bachelor of Music: Composition, 2025

Marco is from Rio Grande City, Texas: a small town on the U.S. Mexico border, and began taking viola lessons at age 8. While pursuing his undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts, he studies with Ronald Houston. He has performed with renowned musicians such as Masumi Rostad and Edward Aaron as part of Meadows School of the Arts’ Chamber Music Masterworks Series.

What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
Rock Climbing is my favorite sport.
