What inspired you to become a musician?
My parents are both musicians, and they inspired me to start playing the cello.
Who are your all-time favorite composers and/or pieces? Why?
Some of my favorite composers are Robert Schumann, Edward Elgar, and Claude Debussy, and my favorite piece is Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 6, “Pathétique”. I got to perform this piece alongside many close friends, so it means a lot to me.
What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I have an identical twin sister that plays the violin!
When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Outside of music, I like to bike and play various sports with my friends.
Why did you choose the NRO?
I chose the NRO so I can learn lots of orchestral repertoire with musicians from all over the country.
