Bio:
Logan Nelson was born and raised in Centennial, Colorado. He began cello lessons at the age of four, and went on to begin playing the bass at the age of thirteen. During his high school years, Logan took part in many honor orchestra festivals and ensembles while also studying with musicians of the Colorado Symphony. Logan began college on a full scholarship to Azusa Pacific University, however he transferred to the Cleveland Institute of Music after a year to continue his studies. Since then Logan has taken part in multiple festivals including the Colorado College Summer Music Festival, as well as the Taipei Music Academy and Festival. Most recently Logan gained a position as substitute bass of the Colorado Symphony.

What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I have the best Louis Armstrong impression, hands down.

Ludwig Van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, Gustav Mahler.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Go Hiking or Camping

What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
Making music with other students and young professionals who are similar to me.
