What inspired you to become a musician?
My first youth orchestra program— the Rivers Youth Orchestra!

Who are your all-time favorite composers and/or pieces? Why?
Beethoven and Mahler, and their symphonies. I love large scale orchestral works, and these symphonies are pretty all-encompassing!

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I love to cook, specifically creating all sorts of pasta sauces from scratch.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Cooking, sailing, crocheting, going on hikes/walks.

Why did you choose the NRO?
Orchestral music and playing in large ensembles have always been central to my career and are the foundation of my love for classical music. Attending the NRO is an unparalleled opportunity to perform so much great music with an incredible orchestra, all in a beautiful location!
