Bio:
Kyle Anderson, age twenty-seven, is a cellist from New Orleans, Louisiana. Beginning the cello at age five, Kyle grew up in a rich musical environment. From 2013-2017, Kyle earned his Bachelors of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with renowned cellist Sharon Robinson and spent three semesters in her Advanced Piano Trio Program. In 2020, Kyle earned his masters degree from Bard College.

What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I eat a lot of fried chicken and my real mission this summer is to find good soul food in Breckenridge.

Sergei Prokofiev, Gustav Mahler, and Osvaldo Golijov

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
I like to have a pretty active social life when I can

What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
Playing great rep, like Prokofiev 5, and lots of hiking.
