Bio:
Chicago native Julius Adams is currently obtaining an Artist Diploma from the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, where he studies with Dr. Catharine Lees. Julius serves as principal viola of the Conservatory’s Philharmonic Orchestra. He has served as principal violist of the University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Prague Summer Nights Festival Orchestra, and Marrowstone Music Festival’s Chamber Orchestra. Julius has performed in prestigious venues across the United States, Europe, and China.

What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I’ve always wanted to be an actor which is influenced by my early childhood dream of becoming a professional wrestler.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
EAT!!

What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
I’m looking forward to working with Michael Stern, reconnecting with the Breckenridge community, making music with inspiring young musicians, and horseback riding in the mountains!
