Bio:
Jakob Schoenfeld is a graduate student at New England Conservatory and received degrees from Juilliard & Interlochen. His teachers include Dan Bauch, Greg Zuber, Markus Rhoten, and Keith Aleo. Jakob has worked with the New Jersey Symphony, New Haven Symphony, New World Symphony, and Ensemble Intercontemporain. Previous summer fellowships of his include Tanglewood, Verbier, Aspen, and the National Youth Orchestra. Jakob is a 2019 YoungArts Foundation winner.

What inspired you to become a musician?
My middle school band friends.

Who are your all-time favorite composers and/or pieces? Why?
Shostakovich, Reich, Bach

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
It was a scheduling mistake that put me into middle school band! The rest is history.
