Esteban Lindo is a 19-year-old double-bassist from Los Angeles, California, currently studying at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University under Ira Gold. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Esteban moved to the US as a 6-year-old and subsequently studied at the Colburn Community School under David Young and Ryan Baird as Herbert Zipper Scholar. Additionally, he has been a member of both NYO2 and the National Youth Orchestra of the USA, both part of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute.

What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I played clarinet, alto saxophone, and bassoon.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Cooking, watching soccer, listening to music, enjoying the outdoors.
