What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I sometimes feel that the trombone repertoire is a little limited, so I like to find great music from a wide variety of genres and arrange it for trombone quartet. It helps me develop my ear, gives trombonists access to more styles than we’re typically used to, and it is lots of fun!

Name three of your favorite composers:
Igor Stravinsky, Aaron Copland, Gustav Mahler

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Hiking and rock climbing!

What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
I am very excited to dig into the huge amount of repertoire this summer! We are playing some of my favorite pieces, such as Shostakovich 5 and Prokofiev 5, and I am really excited to perform those pieces and many many others!
