Bio:
Brigit Fitzgerald is a DMA student in Austin, TX and is the Principal Bassoonist of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra. What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I am a founding member of Fermata Reeds, a company developing affordable, long-lasting, biocomposite bassoon reeds. It is our mission to make it more affordable for students to play the bassoon.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Arts and crafts: furniture building, glass etching, painting, and knitting

What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
I am eager to spend a summer in the Colorado mountains playing a large amount of music with incredible colleagues.
