Alec grew up in the Black Hills region of South Dakota and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, jumping into cold lakes, and wearing shorts and sandals year-round (if at all possible). He can also unicycle. He currently studies cello performance with Karen Becker and hopes to play in a professional symphony somewhere (anywhere, really). Alec has also recently branched out into jazz cello playing.

Antonin Dvorak, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Zoltan Kodaly

Being outside.
What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
I hope to learn how to effectively balance fun, diligent practice, and decent sleep amidst an intensive rehearsal/performance schedule. I also hope to learn a lot about the Breckenridge way of life.
