Originally from Colorado, Rory Lynch now lives in Los Angeles where he is completing a BM in Music Composition as a junior at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music. His primary instructors have included Stephen Hartke and Frank Ticheli. In addition to his musical studies, Rory works as a Concert Assistant for the Thornton School of Music, where he has helped produce symphonic, jazz, and pop concerts at a variety of venues since his freshman year. Rory was awarded the Brandon Mehrle Special Commendation Award at the USC Thornton School of Music’s 2013 Honors Convocation for his work.
In his free time Rory enjoys rooting for the Denver Broncos and Nuggets, skateboarding, and completing the Pokédex.
