“Stunning Strings

Wednesday, July 9th, 7:30pm – Breck Riverwalk Center

This performance consists of an eclectic collection of entertaining, challenging and rewarding works by five outstanding composers, most of them well known for their larger works.  The exceptionally talented string section of the NRO will be featured in each piece, with two solo performances by Alexander Lee (pictured bottom right) and Jessica Ryou (pictured top right). 
Jessica has returned to the NRO for her second season and is first violinist in the Akron Symphony Orchestra.  Read more about Jessica.
Alexander is a sub for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and a finalist for the New World Symphony.  Read more about Alexander.
 
 

“Concerto for Orchestra”
Saturday, July 12th, 7:30pm – Breck Riverwalk Center

Join the NRO and Guest Conductor, Michael Stern (pictured top left), at the    Riverwalk Center this Saturday night!  Michael Stern is in his eighth season with the Kansas City Symphony, hailed for its remarkable artistic ascent, original programming, organizational development and stability, and the extraordinary growth of its varied audiences since his tenure began.  Read more about Michael Stern. 
For his first appearance with the National Repertory Orchestra, Mr. Stern has selected two of the most passionate and emotional selections from the world of opera to open the concert.  Just before intermission, you will hear a solo performance by Victor Beyens (pictured bottom left). 
This French born violinist is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the     Cleveland Institute of Music and is a member of the Firelands Symphony Orchestra in Sandusky, OH.  Read more about Mr. Beyens.
To end the evening, we will hear Bartok’s “Concerto for Orchestra”, a brilliant display of the virtuoso talents of each section of the orchestra.
