Daniel Miguez de LucaBorn and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Daniel’s passion for music began with piano lessons as a child and later with an old fiberglass sousaphone in high school.  During his Bachelor of Music at McGill University, Daniel was the music librarian for various ensembles, including the West Island Youth Symphony Orchestra in Montreal’s west end and the McGill Chamber Singers.  Upon completing his bachelor’s degree, Daniel decided to put aside his tuba and pursue a Master of Library and Information Studies.  As a music librarian, Daniel hopes to play an important role within the music community, working alongside artists and administrators.

When he’s not working on assignments for library school, Daniel likes the small things in life:  good coffee, Lieder by Schubert, and dapper clothing.  The NRO welcomes Daniel as the 2014 summer Library Intern.
