Brian Wood is currently Assistant Audio Director of the Doudna Fine Arts Center at Eastern Illinois University, where he is responsible for engineering and archiving concert recordings for the music department and guest artists. He also works as an independent consultant, doing miscellaneous audio engineering work for other local musicians and venues. He frequently volunteers his time and equipment for events on and around the Eastern campus in Charleston, IL.
As a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Brian has been involved in a wide variety of vocal groups, local bands, and other musical projects. He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia men’s music fraternity. He holds an A.A.S. in Recording Technology from Southwestern Illinois College and is finishing a B.S. in Applied Physics and Computer Science at Eastern Illinois University. He eventually hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Acoustical Engineering or Materials Science. In his spare time, Brian enjoys reading nonfiction, tinkering with electronics, and exploring the outdoors.
