The NRO is excited to welcome back Johanna Groh!
Johanna is a current graduate student at the University of Denver in the Library and Information Science program specializing in Music Librarianship and Archiving. The majority of her experience at DU has been working in the archives processing department of the Anderson Academic Commons on the Central City Opera House collection. She has been processing performance related materials from 1932-1976 from the Central City Opera House Association. Johanna also has experience working in performance libraries as the head librarian for the Cleveland State Symphony Orchestra, the assistant librarian and researcher with the Colorado Symphony, and the library intern with The National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge in 2013.
Johanna holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Eastern Michigan University and a master’s degree in cello performance from Cleveland State University. While working on her first master, she was introduced to the music library world while working for the university music library. While completing her degree, she started volunteering in the Cleveland Orchestra library. Outside the library, Johanna enjoys hot yoga, reading, cooking and hiking with her dog Henry.
