Dahae KimDahae Kim, Principal Cellist with the National Repertory Orchestra in 2012, won a position with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.  After getting her masters at the New England Conservatory in May, Dahae moved to Michigan and joined the DSO in September.

In her young career with the DSO, she has already had the opportunity to take a leadership role.  Due to a temporary void in the position of principal chair, Dahae has been extended the challenge of leading the cello section during most of their concerts thus far.  Dahae loves being a part of a professional orchestra and being inspired by other talented musicians.

As principal cellist with the National Repertory Orchestra, Dahae was prepped for her new role with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.  She credits the NRO with her ability to rapidly learn new repertoire and confidently take on the responsibility to lead.

Congratulation to Dahae from your NRO family!
