Matt ParrMatt Parr was the NRO Development Intern in 2013.   He has just accepted the Individual Giving & Research Associate position with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.   Matt is about to receive a B.S. in Mathematics from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.  Before coming to Purdue, he spent two years at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Matt is very excited to begin his new position at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Today, the ISO is the largest performing arts organization in Indiana and performs hundreds of concerts every year.  It is also one of the nation’s few year-round orchestras.  “The ISO does so much for Indiana beyond just providing spectacular concerts,” Matt says.  “It is truly an honor to join such a prestigious organization that produces amazing music.”

“My time as an NRO intern was unparalleled in its ability to prepare me for a full-time orchestra position.  The NRO staff members are true super heroes.  They not only run a successful orchestra, but they also mentor the summer interns and allow them to grow.  I am forever in debt to the NRO for the opportunities I was given there.”
