Tony NegronTony Negron is a native of Tampa where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Music Education at the University of South Florida.  He had the privilege of performing as a resident artist with the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay in A Red Rose: The Music of René Clausen.  Along with these accomplishments, Tony remains a member of Florida’s premier professional wind ensemble, the Florida Wind Band.

In Pittsburgh, Tony received his Master’s Degree in Instrumental Performance from the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University, studying with Ron Samuels of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.  Most recently, Tony won two concerto competitions, performing Witold Lutoslawski’s Dance Preludes and Scott McAllister’s Black Dog.  He has also performed as a soloist in Wolfgang Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante in Eb Major with Alia Musica Pittsburgh.

Tony is looking forward to exploring Colorado and gaining new experiences in the realm of orchestra management.  He is excited to serve as the NRO’s summer Personnel Intern.
