Anna Thompson

Anna joins the National Repertory Orchestra as Principal Librarian for the 2023 season. A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Anna currently resides in Chicago where she serves as librarian for the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Anna has also worked for organizations such as the Grant Park Music Festival, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In addition to her work as a librarian, Anna is an avid salsa dancer and sci-fi fan.

What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I worked in a specialty animal hospital for two years and saw a lot of crazy cases! My favorite experience was helping c-section puppies take their first breaths.

What are you hoping to learn this summer at the NRO?
I’m hoping to learn about new repertoire and learn about Breckenridge.

What activities/hobbies do you most enjoy?
Salsa dancing, baking bread, and reading a good book.
