What inspired you to become a musician?
My mom, who is a musician, started teaching me violin and piano when I was three years old. Growing up, making music together became a huge part of my life, and inspired me to pursue it as a lifelong journey.
Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:
My favorite composer is Brahms, especially his Piano Quartet No. 3, which is dramatic and deeply emotional, yet delicate and intimate.
What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I am grateful to be using a violin generously loaned to me by the Chimei Museum in Taiwan.
When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
I enjoy hanging out with friends, cooking, and watching movies.
Why did you choose the NRO?
I chose NRO because of its outstanding program and strong focus on orchestra, as I want to gain more experience and pursue a career as an orchestral musician.
