Timothy Swanson is an oboist who is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at the Juilliard School. He studies with Nathan Hughes and is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy. He is also the Principal Oboist of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra. In past summers, he has held fellowships at the Colorado College Summer Music Festival and the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute.
What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I have a twin who plays trombone.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Reading or playing video games.
What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
I hope to gain experience playing in an orchestral setting and to become more familiar with the orchestral repertoire.
