What inspired you to become a musician?
I began playing because of a friend who started Suzuki in Kindergarten, but I chose to become a musician because of the incredible inspiration and support I’ve received from all my teachers.
Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:
Anything Bartók, Brahms, or Shostakovich. Their music stands out for its complexity and emotional depth.
What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I love to teach! I’ve had the opportunity to work with students ranging from complete beginners to adults, and seeing their musical growth at every stage is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
I love baking sourdough and sharing the loaves with friends and family.
Why did you choose the NRO?
I’m honored to have the chance to work alongside so many talented musicians again. Choosing to play with the NRO was an easy decision, as I’m thrilled to be part of an orchestra of this caliber and learn from world-renowned conductors. I look forward to growing as a musician through the incredible repertoire we’ll be performing this summer!
