What inspired you to become a musician?

Growing up with classical music and going to orchestra concerts from a young age.

Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:

Mozart, Brahms, Schumann (both Clara and Robert)

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?

My viola's name is Gary, after the maker.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?

Biking, taking long walks outside, and reading.

Why did you choose the NRO?

Last summer playing with the NRO was one of the most fulfilling summer experiences I have ever had, and it sustained me through the entire year. I learned so much from the conductors and other musicians, and also about how to learn orchestra parts more quickly and efficiently.
I hope that this summer will be just as rewarding and enriching, and I'm looking forward to new repertoire and meeting new people.
