What inspired you to become a musician?

Music has been a constant companion throughout my life. Listening to music was a way for me to spend my free time and talking about music was a way I related to other people. I don’t know if I ever decided to become a musician, I think I always was one.

Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:

I think my favorite composer changes every day. Today it is Rebecca Clarke. Tomorrow, who knows!

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?

I had a streak of bad luck which resulted in two broken bows in the span of one year. Luckily, I was smart enough to get insurance after the first one.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?

I love to sit outside and take it all in. I have hobbies too, but nothing beats the feeling of sitting outside and just enjoying the world.

Why did you choose the NRO?

I was a part of NRO last summer and I absolutely loved it. I met so many wonderful people, learned new things about myself as a musician, and played a heck of a lot of repertoire. Plus, who doesn't want to spend their summer in Colorado?
