Vanderbilt University, Blair School of Music, Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance ‘23Sarah McGuire is from Franklin, Tennessee and started playing violin at the age of five. She has studied with Dr. Carolyn Huebl at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music from high school through her undergraduate studies. Sarah attended Vanderbilt University for her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and has been an Aspen Festival Orchestra Fellow and a Chautauqua Music School Festival Fellow. Sarah will begin her masters degree at New England Conservatory with violin professor, Ayano Ninomiya, in the fall.
What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I was adopted from China when I was around two years old and grew up in the same home in Franklin, Tennessee for 20 years.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Watch movies and nap.
What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
I’m excited to play the fantastic repertoire that is planned for this summer season, as well as meet and work with the other phenomenal colleagues and musicians.
