What inspired you to become a musician?

My mother inspired my pursuits in music. She was never able to learn how to make music and encouraged me to embark on this career. I fell in love with music after that!

Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:

Tchaikovsky, Brahms, and Shostakovich are composers I thoroughly enjoy! There is so much character and intensity in the music they wrote which excites me!

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?

I used to play bass in a salsa/latin jazz orchestra and recently started learning how to dance salsa!

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?

I love to lift weights, bike, cook, and will frequently look for new experiences!

Why did you choose the NRO?

The NRO is a wonderful and exciting place that helped develop my skills as an orchestral musician. I wanted to continue honing these skills and growing my artistic ability, so that I can one day hold a seat in a full-time performing ensemble.
