What inspired you to become a musician?

I fell in love with the ability to communicate through music.

Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:

My favorite piece is Bach’s Chaconne. I think Bach effectively displays the entire human experience in this piece for one solo instrument.

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?

I began my musical studies at age fourteen.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?

Play with the dogs.

Why did you choose the NRO?

I felt my first experience with NRO was a preview of a life that I’d want to live. NRO is a perfect opportunity to develop orchestral and musical skills that I continue to benefit from and I am excited to return.
