What inspired you to become a musician?
I went to a performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in HS. After that concert, I knew I wanted to be a musician.
Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:
Rachmaninoff Symphony No. 2 and Mahler Symphony No. 3.
What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I recently spent a month playing horn aboard the largest cruise ship in the world.
When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
When not making music I love to read, go to the gym, hike, and play games!
Why did you choose the NRO?
I chose the NRO because I feel that there is no better place to help further my pursuit of being a professional musician. The sheer amount of repertoire that we get to learn and perform while working with an orchestra full of world-class musicians is invaluable and an experience unlike anywhere else. Additionally, having Breckenridge and the Rocky Mountains as the backdrop to this summer of incredible music making is just the cherry on top.
