What inspired you to become a musician?
I’ve wanted to become a musician for as long as I can remember, I’ve been playing my whole life. There isn’t a specific event that made up my mind.
Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:
MAHLER! My favorite piece these days is Rachmaninoff’s Second Symphony, though.
What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I also play bass in a rock band!
When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Go outside, watch sports.
Why did you choose the NRO?
The NRO was my top choice festival this summer because I am looking for that professional experience. To get to play with a great orchestra for 2 months and learn together and play great rep sounds like a perfect summer to me, plus we get to live by the mountains in a beautiful town. I hope NRO will help me make great connections and lifelong friends that I know I will see again later in my professional life.
