Bio:
Joseph Nunez has appeared with many ensembles across the United States of America, and has participated in the Aspen Music Festival, the Orford Music Academy, and the National Repertory Orchestra. Joseph is currently on a leave of absence from his studies at Rice University to play with the Kansas City Symphony in the 2021-22 season. Aside from music, Joseph loves dogs and a great cup of coffee.

What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I played in several local bands in my hometown while I was in in middle school and high school. In that time, I played electric guitar for a few heavy metal groups, and a couple of pop-punk groups.

Johann Sebastian Bach, Alberto Ginastera, Claude Debussy

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
I like cooking meals for myself, going to museums, going on long walks, and going to local breweries.

What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
I am most looking forward to staying busy and performing lots of fun repertoire. Aside from this, I look forward to hitting the biking trails and soaking in the beautiful surroundings.
