What inspired you to become a musician?
My very first concert at Carnegie Hall back in 8th grade!

Who are your all-time favorite composers and/or pieces? Why?
Mahler, Strauss, Shostakovich, and Ravel are my favorite composers. My all-time favorite piece is Mahler’s 2nd Symphony. To this day, Mahler 2 remains the only piece in which I feel every single emotion whenever I listen to it.

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I love tennis and started playing at a young age. My Dad played professionally for about one year before tearing his ACL. Before I got into music, my dream was to become a professional tennis player.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Have a night out with friends.

Why did you choose the NRO?
The NRO is without a doubt one of the best summer music festivals in the nation. Having had the pleasure of being a musician for the 2023 season, I knew as soon as that season ended that I would love to come back and experience everything that NRO and Breckenridge has to offer once more. The musicians are some of the greatest in the nation and the program has an amazing host family organization which always makes the musicians feel like we have a second family during the 8 weeks away from home. These reasons are why I chose the NRO for this 2024 summer season.
