Bio:
Graeme Sugden currently serves as the Piccoloist of the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, and appears regularly with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, and the Sarasota Orchestra. He has spent previous summers performing at the Miami Music Festival Orchestral Institute, Bowdoin International Music Festival Fellowship Program, and the Sarasota Music Festival.
He recently graduated with a master’s degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music as a fellowship student of Thomas Robertello.
What inspired you to become a musician?
I had a dream about picking up a flute on a mountain, and I was hooked ever since!
Who are your all-time favorite composers and/or pieces? Why?
Igor Stravinsky, Claude Debussy, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Sergei Prokofiev
What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I am half British and have a dual citizenship with the United Kingdom.
When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
I love to cook different types of food, immerse myself in nature, and go running!
