What inspired you to become a musician?
When I was little, I used to always pass by this music studio that had instruments on display in the window, and I would point to them and tell my mom that I wanted to play, and the rest is history.

Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:
Kurt Weill – I find his immigration/self-reinvention journey relatable.

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I’m learning to be a luthier!

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Bouldering, ride the train, reading/writing detective fiction.

Why did you choose the NRO?
By attending the NRO, I am hoping to continue my exposure to great orchestral masterpieces, something that I haven’t gotten to do since graduating from Juilliard. I want to be surrounded by people who share the same passion as myself, and build a musical community together.
