What inspired you to become a musician?
My father is an oboist, so I grew up surrounded by music. I remember that chamber music was always an important part of my musical journey. My dad and I started playing little songs together from the very beginning. Sharing music with one another made me want to pursue music in the first place, and it is my favorite part of being a musician.

Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:
At the moment I would say Prokofiev, Brahms, and Ravel.

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I play on an english violin by Lockey Hill from 1790.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
I love crafty things like knitting and sewing as well as painting and drawing. But I also love the outdoors, so hiking in Breckenridge is something I especially look forward to.

Why did you choose the NRO?
I chose NRO because it will give me the opportunity to get to know an enormous amounts of repertoire in only 8 weeks. I will also have the opportunity to be co-leading the orchestra, which will be a valuable learning experience for me. Additionally, I am excited to meet so many others with the same passion.
