What inspired you to become a musician?
Seeing my siblings play different instruments growing up inspired me to start learning an instrument of my own!
Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:
I love Mahler, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Gershwin! On the niche percussion side of things, I am a big fan of Andy Akiho.
What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I am actually part of a set of triplets! (hi Jacob and Emily)
When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Spending times with friends and loved ones…or sleeping.
Why did you choose the NRO?
For decades, NRO has shown that it is one of the best places for young musicians to spend their summer. To be a part of a festival that has produced so many amazing musicians is something I am both excited, and grateful for.
