What inspired you to become a musician?
A couple of exceptional high school band directors
Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:
I really enjoy the Chopin Nocturnes, Sibelius, and Jean Michael Defaye.
What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
I was not tall enough to reach the end of the trombone when I started, so I almost ended up playing the trumpet
When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
I enjoy cooking, frisbee, exercise, and grappling.
Why did you choose the NRO?
I am excited to play with, and get to know the other members of the orchestra. I’m also excited about the volume of music performed during the festival. This is a great time to familiarize myself with a lot of repertoire, and get practice learning repertoire quickly.
