Bio:
Originally from the Bay Area, Cole Perez is currently a graduate student at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU Long Beach. There, he also received his Bachelor of Music degree studying under Moni Simeonov and Henry Gronnier. He has received coachings and masterclasses from members of the Kronos Quartet, Telegraph Quartet, Aizuri Quartet, and Argus Quartet. Cole has served as Concertmaster for the Bob Cole Conservatory Symphony, and has performed with the American Youth Symphony and Debut Chamber Orchestra.

What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
When I was younger, I used to take classes on how to use a Japanese abacus, but nowadays I find I don’t often have a need to apply those skills anywhere.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?

What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
I am looking forward to meeting and collaborating with other talented musicians, as well as spending my whole summer in a state I have never been to. Also, looking forward to playing some awesome repertoire.
