Clara Schubilske recently graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying with Professor Simon James. She received her undergraduate degrees in Violin Performance and Social Policy from Northwestern University. She has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to play with great orchestral musicians at the New York String Orchestra Seminar, San Francisco Ballet, and Music Academy of the West. Clara also enjoys teaching through Evanston Young Artists and at the Amabile Music School in San Francisco.
What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I really want to learn how to improvise and play jazz.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Hiking, reading, or being outside generally.
What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
I hope to learn how to balance my time so that I can prepare all the somewhat overwhelming amount of music to the best of my ability but also enjoy the amazing natural beauty of Breckenridge and learn from other inspiring musicians.
