I heard my middle school band director demonstrate the euphonium (a mini tuba) once and I was instantly captivated by the sound. I knew that playing the tuba or euphonium is what I wanted to do.

Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:

Mahler symphonies. Such powerful and emotional music with many great brass moments.

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?

I figured out how to circular breathe on the tuba.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?

I like to go the gym and cook/.

Why did you choose the NRO?

I chose to attend NRO to play amazing orchestral repertoire and to make lasting connections with my peers. Also, the Rockies are beautiful during the summer time.
