What inspired you to become a musician?

My parents are both musicians, so I grew up surrounded by music!

Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:

My favorite composers are Shostakovich and Mahler, because of the depth of emotion they're able to convey through their work. My favorite pieces change all the time, but recently I’ve really been enjoying Prokofiev 5 and Mahler 7.

What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?

I swam competitively throughout my entire childhood.

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?

I enjoy staying active, spending time outside, and playing with my three dogs: Mia, Nico, and Steve.

Why did you choose the NRO?

I had a fantastic time at NRO last summer, and am thrilled to have the opportunity to spend another summer in Breckenridge playing incredible music with great musicians!
