Violinist Caroline Joyner, 23, is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Violin Performance at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music, studying with Blair Milton of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In May 2020, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with bachelor’s degrees in Violin Performance, Music Theory, and German from the Cleveland Institute of Music/Case Western Reserve University dual degree program. When not practicing, she enjoys running and listening to podcasts.

What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
Hiking in the mountains and seeing my host parents again (hi Susan and Don!).

What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I used to be a competitive figure skater.
