What inspired you to become a musician?
I grew up with music always playing somewhere. My father was a musician himself, so I’d like to give him credit where it’s due. I simply fell in love with the process and the result, the rest is history.
Name your favorite composers and/or pieces:
I’d have to say Gustav Mahler. His depiction of nature, humanity, and life is unparalleled in my opinion!
What is an interesting fact about you and/or your instrument?
A fun fact is that I have 7 pets at home: 5 dogs, a yellow-headed amazon, and a bearded dragon!
When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
My favorite pasttime is going on walks, most likely to grab a coffee at a local shop!
Why did you choose the NRO?
I chose the NRO for many reasons, including the extensive repertoire, the location, and the amazing colleagues I’ll be able to work with. Most importantly though, my choice fell to where I’d be most in tune with my goals, which are to create meaningful connections and improve as a musician.
